One thing that all of us women can agree on is that we wish we could all wake up looking gorgeous and well put together without having to spend hours and hours of our life applying makeup. Some women go for permanent makeup (such as permanent eyeliner or lip liner) and others go for eyelash tinting.
Why would someone choose eyelash tinting? Apart from having defined eyelashes, this process is also beneficial to anyone who is allergic or sensitive to eye makeup. They will never have to deal with red, puffy, swollen and itchy eyes ever again! Any woman who is very active and enjoys sports like swimming would best appreciate eyelash tinting, as they’ll emerge from the water looking beautiful.
Eyelash tinting is a process which allows you to darken your eyelashes so that you may never need to apply mascara ever again! Your eyelashes are dyed to a darker color (you can choose virtually any color you like, including black, brown, grey, or blue – choose a color that suits your complexion and hair color best!) using a vegetable dye as a tint. .
The eyelash tinting procedure usually takes any where from 10 to 20 minutes, meaning that since it’s such a short procedure, busy women can have it done on their lunch breaks! When you arrive at the salon, the beauty therapist will lead you to the eyelash tinting area. He or she will place cotton under your eyes after asking you to close them, and then apply vegetable dye directly onto your eyelashes. Depending on the color you are choosing, the vegetable dye is then left on your lashes for up to 20 minutes and is then removed with water.
Many women are a bit apprehensive about the procedure, given that it is a sort of “dye” or tint that is being used close to your eyes. Before you actually have the tinting done, most salons will insist that you come in for a consultation with the beauty therapist first. If it is your first time having the eyelash tinting done, a “patch test” will be performed, just to be sure that there are no adverse allergic reactions or sensitivities towards the product. A good therapist will then discuss with you the different colors available, which he or she thinks will look best for you, and ask you what you would like your eyelashes to look like.
Eyelash tinting is a painless procedure unless any of the dye gets into your eye. Should that occur (which it most likely will not) you will feel some stinging in your eye and may need to flush out your eye with water. If you purchase a home tinting kit, it can be extremely easy to get the dye into your eyes. Because of this, unless you are a trained eyelash tinting procedure, you should NOT PERFORM EYELASH TINTING YOURSELF. It can cause you pain, be extremely messy, and can also give you poor or improper results. Always spend the extra money and allow yourself to be pampered by a professional.
