Everyone wants that perfect figure, the much-envied hour glass shape that women endlessly strive for. Though for many people the “perfect figure” is to be thin and petite with large breasts, there is evidence that a man’s attraction to a woman is actually related to the proportions of a woman’s hips and waist to her breast size. This is commonly referred to as the “waist-to-hip” ratio, or “WHR”.
What is “waist-to-hip” ratio?
It is thought that, biologically, men are attracted to women who physically appear to be fertile. A woman’s waist to hip ratio and breast size are good indicators of how young she is. For example, the smaller a waist a woman has, the younger she is perceived to be, which translates to her being fertile. Nice shapely hips in relation to the waist are thought to be a good indicator of how successful a woman may be in child birth.
Interestingly enough, a man’s preference when it comes to “waist-to-hip” ratios varies from culture to culture. European and North American men tend to idealize a waist circumference that is approximately 70% of the hip circumference. Asian cultures seem to prefer a waist circumference that is 60% of the hip circumference, while South America and African prefer any where from 80% to 90%.
How can you Measure your Waist-To-Hip Ratio?
Get out the measuring tape and start writing down numbers! Measure your waist, and then measure your hips. Divide the waist measurement by the hip measurement, and you will receive a 0.7, 0.8, or any other number under “1.0”. Multiply that number by 100 and you will receive your waist to hip ratio percentage.
How Common is it for One to Have a Perfect Waist to Hip Ratio?
Though it would be nice to have a “perfect” or ideal waist to hip ratio, about 99% of women do not naturally have the ideal “ratio”. Hips size does not necessarily determine breast size. A woman with large hips may not have large breasts, and a small woman with small hips and a narrow rib cage does not necessarily have small breasts. There often is some what of a correlation between one’s hips and breast size, but hip size certainly is not the only determinant when it comes to a woman’s breast size.
How can I Obtain a Perfect Hip to Waist Ratio?
There are several different ways you can obtain a perfect hip to waist ratio and increasing your bust size – it’s all about creating the “perfect proportions”. Women who have hips that they deem too large can either begin exercising a bit more and changing up their workout routine to include more hip-reducing exercises; or, as is becoming increasingly popular, women with slender hips can actually get “hip implants” so that they appear more curvy.
There are several ways to boost your bust, such as wearing a push up or padded bra, undergoing breast augmentation surgery, or even changing one’s diet and taking herbal supplements.
TIP: Reducing hip and waist size can also help your natural breasts look larger without even having to take any supplements or consider surgery! Speak to your doctor about different ways you increase your bust size.
There may not necessarily be a relationship between hip and breast size, but you can obtain those perfect hip and breast size proportions by using a few of these tips and tricks.
