Natural Skin Care Tips and Tricks

09 September 2010 | by Courtney

You may be able to find almost any beauty product you want in the store, but did you know that you can also use products that do not have the pesticides, the preservatives, the dyes and fragrances and what ever other chemical ingredients? It’s true! Here are some natural skin care tips that any woman can use when ever she needs.

The Easiest and Most Natural Facial Scrub

Want to know what the easiest natural facial scrub is? All you need is a little bit of olive oil, and a little bit of sugar. Take a bit of olive oil and spread it onto your face and neck (a little olive oil goes a long way, so don’t pour out a whole lot out). Then, take your wetted fingers and dab them into some sugar, and rub the sugar gently into your face and neck in a circular motion. Pay particular attention to the corners and sides of your nose, your forehead, and your chin. After 3 minutes have passed, rinse the mix off with a natural facial cleanser.

Natural Facial Cleanser

If you are looking for a great store brand facial cleanser, try either Aveeno or Burt’s Bees. If you are interested in making your own natural facial cleanser, try out this generic natural cleanser. You need:

  • 1/8 Cup of well ground almonds
  • 2 TBSP of milk or cream
  • 1 tsp. lemon juice

Once you have the ingredients, simply add tem together and combine them so that it is a thorough mixture. When cleansing your skin, rub it into your skin softly and then rinse the cleanser off with warm water. After any cleansing routine, it’s important to follow up with a natural facial moisturizer.

The Natural Facial Moisturizer

Aloe vera is a natural moisturizing product that is freely available in nature. For a natural facial moisturizer, all you need is:

  • 1 tsp. of aloe vera
  • 1 tsp. of mineral oil

Begin by taking out a pan and placing a small amount of aloe vera into the pan. Then, add a few drops of the mineral water to the pan. Heat up the mixture at medium texture until the mix gets a creamy texture. Let it cool for half an hour, and then place your new moisturizer into a container. This moisturizer can be used when ever and where ever, including beneath make up.

Natural Make Up Products

You can make your very own cosmetics at home, or you can invest in some natural cosmetics that you can find in the store. If you are looking for truly natural skin care products and cosmetics, opt for a mineral based make up.

Mineral foundations, blushes, shimmers and eyeshadows are made from real raw minerals that are found in the earth and should have no additives. Read the back of the makeup package to ensure that there are no added preservatives or dyes (a lot of “natural” make up companies will still add a dye or a preservative to their products, which makes the product less than “natural”).
