Vibrating mascara seems to be a new trend that is out on the market these days. Many women definitely have no interest in placing some vibrating object near their eyes. Why would you want to risk possibly poking out your eye with some vibrating mascara wand? Can you even control a vibrating mascara wand? Just what exactly is the point of this new “fad”?
Vibrating mascara was created to help improve the look of a woman’s lashes. As most makeup experts will tell you, all mascara should be applied by “wiggling” or zig-zagging the mascara wand up from the root to the tip of the eyelashes. Why? Because this helps add definition to your eyelashes by both applying mascara evenly and also separating the lashes.
The vibrating mascara was created based on the same principle, except the vibrating actually moves the wand back and forth a whole lot faster than the human hand can. What does this mean for you? The mascara is applied even more evenly than it would be by you, and the lashes are given more fullness and length.
If you’re worried about poking yourself in the eye (as, let’s be honest, most of us are) do no worry! The vibrating or “pulsating” of the wand is so slight that it won’t cause you to lose control of the wand or accidentally poke yourself in the eye. The amount of vibration that this wand offers is perfectly appropriate for its purpose.
Where can I Find Vibrating Mascara?
You can find vibrating mascara almost any where these days. Try checking out your drug store for a less expensive brand, and your department store for a more expensive type of vibrating mascara. The online world of course also offers a wide variety of choices as well.
What Vibrating Mascara should I Choose?
There are a few different types, though the two best at different price points are the Maybelline “Pulse Perfection” Vibrating Mascara and “Oscillation” by Lancome.
The Maybelline “Pulse Perfection” Vibrating Mascara is a very affordable mascara when compared to other vibrating mascaras, and it has been acclaimed for separating lashes evenly and really opening up one’s eyes after use. It doesn’t smudge, it doesn’t flake, and you need not apply an extra coat.
The drawback? This mascara is not really designed to give your lashes that “thicker” look; it’s created to lengthen and define. So if you are shopping around for a thickening mascara, do not consider Maybelline’s “Pulse Perfection” Vibrating Mascara.
Lancome’s Oscillating mascara is quite similar to Maybelline vibrating mascara as it too is not designed to add a whole lot of thickness to your lashes, though it will give your lashes more of a thickness boost than Maybelline. This mascara boasts 7000 oscillations per minute, and the Lancome website describes it as wrapping every lash up to 360*. Those who use this product absolutely love this product, as it truly will separate your lashes, extend and lengthen them, and completely open up your eyes.
