Have you ever dreamed of having lipstick that comes off on your loved ones after you give them a loving kiss? Have you ever desired to have your lipstick come off on the glass you have sipped out of or the collar of a lover you have gotten close to? If you are like most women, having your lipstick wipe off on any surface is a downright nightmare. Not only does having your lipstick come off ruin the illusion of you having full, well colored lips, but it also can very well annoy the person that it is coming off on!
All day lipsticks will definitely stay on your lips all day long – and often all night long. If you do choose to wear an all day lipstick, be sure that that is a color that you will want to be wearing for at least 8 hours (i.e. a full day at the office).
How long do All Day Lipsticks Last?
Most long lasting all day lipsticks that are on the market these days can last any where from 12 to 18 hours at a time, which makes them perfect for those long days at work or busy weekends.
What Colors do All Day Lipsticks Come In?
You can find long lasting lipstick in almost any shade out there right now, though you most likely will find the colors to be more opaque and matte rather than sheer and shiny. Check in with your nearest drug or department store to see what sort of selection is offered by all of the different brands.
Why would I Choose an all Day Lipstick when I can Make It Myself?
Truth be told, there are “at home” solutions to making your regular lipsticks stay on your lips all day long. Going about the task of making your lipstick stay all day with use of lip liners, powders, lip brushes, and more is not only a rather time consuming process, but it’s not always so effective either.
How to Remove All Day Lipstick
Removing all day lipstick doesn’t necessarily require some sort of specialized serum or cleanser. Start off with folding a paper towel in half, or a piece of tissue into quarters. Apply lip balm or Vaseline to your lips so that the lipstick is fully and somewhat thickly coated. Rub your lips together in a vigorous fashion for about 20 seconds, and then use the paper towel or tissue to then wipe the lipstick off. As you wipe, be sure to use a clean part of the tissue or towel as you remove the lipstick. Try to also remove it in the direction towards the inside of your lips so that the lipstick isn’t rubbed into your face.
After trying to do this twice, all of the lipstick should be fully removed.
Some Words of Warning about Long Lasting Lipstick
As all day lipstick is supposed to last, well, all day, any reapplication of it can be quite troublesome. If you do try to reapply an all day lipstick to your lips and if there are any traces of an all day lipstick still on your lips, you risk creating a caked-on or uneven and even “chunky” lipstick look. If you ever have to reapply an all day lipstick, follow the steps above to completely remove it before reapplication.
