Effective in case of listlessness strengthens the immune system and helps to overcome colds faster. In addition, turmeric has a stimulating effect similar to coffee. The fact that turmeric latte promotes digestion and counteracts hunger pangs makes the drink a supporter of diets or detox programs. There is now turmeric latte powder that needs to be dissolved in warm plant milk, or you can buy pleasantly flavored turmeric tea. If you want to make the paste yourself according to a traditional recipe, you will find a recipe here:
For 1-2 servings of turmeric latte:
Boil 1 tbsp turmeric (ground) with 120 ml water in a saucepan. Then add 15 g ginger (finely chopped) and reduce everything while stirring until an aromatic paste is formed. Put the paste in a bowl. This way, it can be kept in the refrigerator for about five days.
For preparation, heat 350 ml almond milk, stir in 1-2 teaspoons of paste, one teaspoon of maple syrup, one teaspoon of coconut oil, and one pinch of cinnamon. Let everything simmer for 2 minutes.
Then serve hot. We recommend using a small amount of the paste at the beginning, as the taste takes a bit of getting used to.
